What it contains:

2 Butterflies (blue/ yellow)

1 Base

*Needs 2 AA batteries to operate.

I have a very playful cat and he has tons of toys but because he loves to ‘hunt’ so much, I have to have daily sessions of playtime with the wand toy. I wanted to get a toy that can imitate a prey and constantly moving so that Meuw can entertain himself even when I am busy. So I got him the Flutter Butterfly Cat Toy!

This is a very simple but very interactive toy for cats. It operates on 2 AA batteries and there is only one button that controls the on/ off of the toy. Once you press on the button, the butterfly vibrates and at the same time, rotates clockwise – making the butterfly look like it has come alive. The wings of the butterfly are made of a soft fabric material, making it safe even if your cat gets too engrossed and starts chewing on it. The best thing is the base is heavy so there is no chance of it tipping over.

When I gave Meuw the Flutter Butterfly Cat Toy for the first time, I didn’t switch it on and he was already battering it. I switched it on after awhile and the butterfly was moving really quickly in circular motion. Meuw was taken aback and went hiding. There is only one speed on this toy so you cannot control and go slow on the first play. I left it switched on and Meuw returned to ‘hunting’ the butterfly; pouncing on it then running off to hide, then coming back again and biting it. This went on for about an hour. It was fun to watch!

Pros:

Sturdy base

Easy to operate/ dummy proof

Extra butterfly for backup

Quiet

*Most importantly, my cat loves it!

Cons:

Needs 2 AA batteries

To change the butterfly, you will need a stick to push out the connector from the previous butterfly to attach on the base

If your cat loves to lie on the wire connecting the butterfly (like mine), the wire will bend and you will have to bend it back up

Overall, I love it and will definitely recommend to cat lovers in a heartbeat!
