The best things in life are FREE!

I feel that all pets have a very special place in each owners' heart. Most of the pet owners I know adore their pets and love to pamper them. Pet cafes (where pets are served fancy food, drinks and even ice cream) and pools have been getting increasingly popular. It has just been announced that there will soon be a cat country club launched in Singapore too. This just proves how much love the pets are getting from their owners and created a demand for more pet recreation to be launched.

Ever since I have read about how quickly and easily fleas/ ticks/ skin infections/ mites/ etc can be transmitted from one animal to another, I have developed paranoia and would much rather keep him indoors and avoid places with multiple animals (besides the vet, i guess). They always say it's better safe than sorry! Since I have decided to keep Meuw a strictly indoors only cat, it is very important that I keep him occupied and entertained with a good variety of toys so that he will not be up to mischief and destroy anything in the house. I have always shopped around Daiso ($2 store) because each outlet usually has different products and they have good quality cat toys that usually retails around $5 in other pet stores. However, the cost builds up and it's not economical anymore.

The best things in the world are free.

This is a small list of free cat toys I have given Meuw:

1) Toilet rolls (Just throw it on the floor and he will wrestle with it. Many have suggested to cut the ends of the toilet roll into strips, I have done that but Meuw doesn't take any interest in it)

2) Paper ball (Crush and throw)

3) Shiny tassels from gift packaging (Played under supervision)

4) Cardboard/tissue boxes (Just leave it open and he will figure out his own little game of hide and seek. It looked messy and out of place in the house so I made a teepee out of it.)

5) Ping pong balls (His favourite but it bounces so much that it always disappears in the house)

6) Spongy, glittery balls. This is truly his ultimate favourite! He can go on at it for months! It is really lightweight and bounces off lightly and quickly so it imitates the action of a prey. He even carries it and places it on his bed every night. My sister used it for a craft project and I got the remaining unused balls from her and put it into good use!
