Kitten's First Day

In April we finally brought Meuw, our Persian x Maine Coon kitten, home after he was fully weaned. I compiled the videos I took on the first day we brought Meuw home and am so amazed at how much he has grown over the last couple of months.
He came out of the carrier pretty quickly, within minutes, and started exploring the house. We cordoned off the rooms and kitchen so that it would be less overwhelming for him. We then brought him to the safe room, which was actually the toilet since it was the least destructive area, and allowed him to spend the night alone adjusting to the new environment.
The safe room consists of:
- Small litter box
- Food/ Water (In shallow bowls and placed away from the litter box)
- Bed (And a cardigan of his mummy's scent)
- Scratching board (Made of corrogated cardboard)
- 2 Cat toys
We removed everything else - soap, shampoo, toilet paper, scented gel.
The next day, to my horror, he was nowhere to be seen. After searching high and low, I found him stuffed into a little corner behind the toilet bowl. After spending an hour coaxing him out, I filled the gap with towels to prevent him from hiding in there again. There was no pee/ shit in the litter box, the food and water was untouched, the toys and bed were all in the same position. I guess he spent the night in that little gap. Things changed 180 degrees when I brought him wet can food. He loved it, allowed me to pet him, and started to explore the house by himself.
Fast forward to today, we have been exposing him to all our friends ranging from kids to adults to elderly and he has grown from a little timid kitten to an approachable kitten. He loves to play yet doesn't go crazy and jump all around the house or scratch the furniture. Initially we were concerned that he will be a timid cat since he was always the little one hiding behind his mummy while his siblings venture out to play. Our worries are superfluous.
I am thinking of compiling all his videos since birth. That would be interesting to watch. ^^
